PRIVATE ETIQUETTE COACHING

Social Skills Coaching for children ages 6-11 years old are the skills needed to communicate and connect with other people.  Social skills remain important even though we live in an increasingly online world.  They are beneficial to children because knowing what to do helps take the mystery out of social situations, and interpret non-verbal cues such as body language.  Our programs is show children how to navigate out-and-about social occasions and how to behave when parents aren't around.  Children learn what is expected of them as a guest, safety rules in cars and phone answering, when they are in an audience, when they are a host, how to be respectful of grandparents and relatives, writing thank-you notes to acknowledge a gift, and the importance of self-care, dining manners, and grooming.  Age-appropriate personalized coaching sessions are interactive and involve discussion and role-plays.

  • How to start a conversation:  6 conversation starters
  • The Magic Words
  • Grooming and personal presence
  • Good manners when out and about and away from home
  • How to write and accept an invitation.  How to write a thank-you note 
  • Good sportsmanship
  • Telephone, cell phone and internet etiquette (netiquette) 
  • Table Manners Intro Level 1: Be and stay seated, engage in proper mealtime conversation, how to ask to be excused, how to handle dining mishaps (grades K-3)
  • Table manners Level II:  ​How to set the table, restaurant and buffet dining, and customs in other cultures, how to eat various difficult foods (grades 3-6)
Etiquette coaching for teenagers focuses on character, conduct and confidence to take the next steps in life. Manners for young people are the foundational principles of leadership potential.  A lot of our success In life comes from how we come across to others, and we provide students with the tools and techniques to develop their communication skills.
